Coach Kristy
Co-Owner
Coach Kristy is the proud co-owner of Limelight Kids. Kristy brings a powerful combination of 7+ years of in classroom teaching and special education, including being named a Teacher of the Year. With more than a decade of building and growing engaging child development programs in the Charlotte area she brings incredible knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion for children to Limelight Kids of Charlotte.

Coach Christina
Co-Owner
Coach Christina is the proud co-owner of Limelight Kids. A Charlotte native, Coach Christina attended the University of Florida where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Telecommunications with a concentration in Sports Management. Prior to earning her degree in multimedia production, Christina was a passionate thespian. Christina quickly transitioned from on stage to in front of the camera — working as a professional actress with some of the largest companies in America.

Coach Haven
Preschool & Afterschool Director
As a mother, Coach Haven understands the importance of child development and the critical role teachers have. She is a graduate of Western State Colorado University with a bachelors in Theatre & Communications. After graduation, she interned with Partners, a non-profit organization mentoring at-risk youth and also served as a summer camp counselor for under privileged kids. She is passionate about helping children find their voice, be confident in who they are and be able to express themselves. She believes children are the tomorrow of the world — Limelight Kids Charlotte gives them the tools to shape their self esteem into bold, courageous change making visionaries of tomorrow!

Coach Lilly
Coach Lilly is a theatre enthusiast and proud Limelight teacher. She has been performing since she was 8, studied theatre in college, and has spent over 8 years working with children. Helping kids find their voice, build confidence, and shine on stage is Lilly's passion. Fluent in English and Spanish, she loves creating a fun, inclusive space for every young performer. Fun fact: before moving to Charlotte, Lilly was in a girl group in Atlanta!

Coach Kate
Coach Kate grew up in New Haven, CT, where she trained under Lorraine Judd and earned a BA in Humanities with a concentration in Theatre Arts from Albertus Magnus College. She also holds a Dance Performance certification from Naugatuck Valley College. Kate and her husband owned and operated CT Dance Force in Hamden, CT before relocating to North Carolina, where she has taught ballet, tap, and musical theatre at several area studios and community centers. A proud member of the National Dance Education Organization, Kate is passionate about proper technique, dance history, and making the arts accessible for all. She is thrilled to bring her love of theatre to Limelight Kids!

Coach Liz
Coach Liz loves every part of the theatre. She earned her BA in Theatre from UNC Charlotte — and proudly spells it with the “re,” just like Shakespeare — and has been involved in the arts since middle school. Over the years, she has worked as an actor, costumer, and writer. Liz also has a passion for working with children (she comes from a long line of teachers). She is excited to share her love of the arts with the next generation.

Coach Jessica
Coach Jessica is a lifelong lover of the arts with a background in Visual Arts, Photography, and soon Graphic Design. She is passionate about inspiring young minds and infusing creativity into every moment with her students. At Limelight, Jessica treasures seeing kids grow, express themselves, and discover their unique talents. Combining her artistic spirit with a dedication to teaching, she looks forward to empowering the next generation of bold, creative thinkers.

Coach Katy
Coach Katy has grown up in Charlotte and found her voice through theatre. She graduated from Central Piedmont Community College with an Associates Degree in Theatre Arts and is a current student at UNC - Charlotte as a Sociology major. She has worked as a preschool teacher, camp counselor, and theatre educator. She loves providing a safe space for kids to learn and grow through the arts.

Coach Lyndsey
Lyndsey has always had a passion for the performing arts! She is a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, and she loves sharing her passion for creativity and storytelling with young performers. She believes every student deserves a place to explore, imagine, and grow, and she is excited to create a fun, encouraging environment where students can build confidence and discover the joy of theatre!

Coach Danielle
Danielle is a Charlotte native with a lifelong passion for performance. She earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from Catawba College and began teaching private voice lessons after graduating in 2012, helping students prepare for auditions and musical performances. Since then, she has worked with hundreds of young performers. Danielle loves helping children build confidence, challenge themselves, and achieve their goals by adapting her teaching style to meet each student’s individual needs.

Coach Kirksey
Kirksey is a storyteller with a passion for theatre, writing, filmmaking, literature, and public speaking. A graduate of Johnson C. Smith University, she earned her BA in Communication while strengthening her skills as a writer, performer, and communicator. Her love of theatre began in high school and grew into an appreciation for storytelling across both stage and screen. Kirksey believes theatre can inspire, build community, and spark meaningful conversations while creating stories that entertain, uplift, and leave a lasting impact.

Coach Evie
Evangeline (Evie) holds her BA in English from UNCG. She was a ballet dancer and teacher, as well as an avid story-teller and theatre lover. She brings 6 years of experience with teaching and childcare to Limelight, and she is passionate about performance, art, and introducing children to the wonders of imagination.

Coach Mei
Coach Mei holds a BA in English Literature from NC State and has worked in childcare for the past three years. She currently works in Union County as a substitute teacher and loves working with elementary school aged children. She is a lover of literature, stories, and the arts and is passionate about creating a safe space for children to explore their own interests and creativity!

Coach Sofia
Coach Sofia is currently a student at UNC Charlotte, where she is majoring in Elementary Education. She hopes to become a kindergarten teacher one day and is also passionate about Special Education. She has always loved working with children and enjoys watching their curiosity, creativity, and confidence grow. Sofia has years of babysitting experience. At Limelight Kids, Sofia is excited to meet the kids, get to know their unique personalities, and help create a fun and welcoming environment. She looks forward to encouraging their creativity, building their confidence, and helping them discover their talents through theater and the arts!

Coach Tanzley
Coach Tanzley is passionate about inspiring creativity and sparking imagination in students of all ages! A performer from youth, she has worn many hats as an actress, dancer, vocalist, and animal handler. Coach Tanzley believes that the principles learned in acting classes, such as eye contact, confident stage voice, and body language, help children thrive in any environment (on, or off stage)! She is overjoyed to help the next generation develop these skills with Limelight Kids Preschools
